Taking a New Approach with Breast Cancer Awareness

My grandmother had a mastectomy. And I know friends and business associates who have battled breast cancer. So I definitely understand how vicious and debilitating a disease it is.

But I do think there are people, especially young adults, who don't have an awareness of the disease or understand the importance of monthly examinations.

I recently read an article by Julia Butterfly Hill (the woman who lived in a 1,000 year old redwood in the 1990's for 738 days to prevent it from being cut down) in Yoga Journal. She referred to our society as a production-driven society rather than a purpose-driven society.
